H O P E is an art video which was created during the first lockdown in Athens, Greece, April 2020.
“This harsh spring brought an invisible enemy that overturned the rhythm of the human world. A pandemic. A global pause. Lives, works and days were postponed, roads emptied, cities were silenced, borders were closed. Loved ones left, some for a while, others, many, forever. Embrace became dangerous, distance and isolation salvation. In this foreign silence the hidden world is heard louder. The plants. The animals. People dawn and dusk on time. The birds wake up during the day on time, the stars shine at night, the trees bloom on time, the wind sounds louder. The April roses musk ignoring the death that blooms next to them. The acacia turned yellow again. On time. The hope in its light is here, silent and bright. We will meet again."

I decided to continue the project and weave a tapestry with the title :”we will meet again”, the second part of the project, in the beginning of the second lockdown during the pandemic of Covid-19, in Athens November 2020, and finished it in June 2021.
I weaved it with threads that I already had in the studio but also with some more that were given to me by loved ones and friends.
I also sent messages to other friends if they would like to send me yarns that they had at home which they did.The pattern in the tapestry was based on the Fibonacci sequence.
